Changing our mindset to focus on self-compassion? Not easy. 🤯 In a world that is so noisy, it’s tough to even notice when we're being hard on ourselves. But guess what? You're not alone. 😊

Henri Nouwen said, “The greatest temptations are not money, sex, and power, but self-rejection – because self-rejection contradicts the sacred voice that calls us the beloved.” 🙏 And oh, there's a very real enemy out there who wants nothing more than to dim your light. 🌑 He’ll make you feel like you're not enough - too much of this, not enough of that. Sound familiar? Yeah, it hits home for many of us.

But Romans 3:24 reminds us that through Jesus, we're made just right. His love sets us free from self-rejection. 💖

As I’ve journeyed with Jesus, I’ve struggled to believe and accept God’s love. Is this true for you too? If so, here are some practical steps I take to show kindness and understanding to myself, even in the midst of challenges:

-Judging my body on how it feels instead of how much it weighs
-Only setting three reasonable tasks for the day to achieve accomplishment
-Digital detox from social media to avoid comparison
-Practicing self-care by having an evening skincare routine
-Listening to @letsreadthegospels
-Greeting God with a small “hello, Lord” first thing in the morning
-Listening to @ellieholcomb All of My Days album
-Serving others

Let's commit to treating ourselves with the same kindness and understanding that God extends to us, knowing that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image.💖
