I once heard someone say Spiritual Direction is a listening ministry.

That encompasses spiritual direction so well for me.

Spiritual Direction is listening to what is on the heart of a brother or sister in Christ and helping them identify where they feel God is working in their life. It’s reminding them of the character of God and how much he loves them.

Spiritual Direction focuses on the soul and someone’s relationship with God. As a director, I often point people back to God and their relationship with Him.

One of the best explanations of spiritual direction that I’ve encountered is by Emily P. Freeman.

One-on-One Spiritual Direction

$50 per session

Choosing a Spiritual Director can be a big decision, which I don’t take lightly. My heart is to serve you by helping you to care for your soul. Often we don’t have people to just listen to us without judgement or stings attached. Through Spiritual Direction, you can say what is on your heart and I will listen. Together, we prayerfully hold space for where God is moving in your life. Through one-on-one Spiritual Direction with me, you can expect:

  • 60 minute sessions
  • Intentionally welcome the presence of the Holy Spirit
  • A safe, confidential space to discuss what’s on your heart
  • Spiritual Practices & Resources
  • Reminders of God’s love for you
  • Thoughtful questions to help you consider what God is inviting you into

I received my spIritual direction training through Soulformation’s Academy of Spiritual formation.
