You know that feeling. The one where you’re alrea

You know that feeling.

The one where you’re already three steps ahead of where you actually are. Mentally drafting a text while you load the dishwasher. Thinking about dinner while you drive to practice. Trying to remember what you forgot while you brush your teeth.

You’re running. From one thing to the next. And somewhere along the way, the mental load got so heavy that things started slipping through the cracks.

The birthday card you meant to mail. The email sitting in your drafts for eleven days. The Bible study you wanted to start last January.

You feel behind. Always.

And the hardest part? You love Jesus. You want to walk with Him. But your mind is so full that even your quiet time feels like another thing to check off a list.

This is why @hey.jo.here and I built Make Room.

Over four sessions, you’ll learn how to get the clutter out of your head and onto your schedule in a way that actually makes sense for your life. You’ll walk away with a system that fits, language for what to say no to, and a rhythm that holds you instead of one you’re constantly trying to keep up with.

And every session ends with a spiritual practice. So you don’t just leave with a cleaner calendar. You leave having spent time with God.

P.S. If you’ve been telling yourself you’ll get organized after this season, after the kids go back to school, after the holidays, friend, this is the season. Make Room starts May 21, and there’s still space for you. Link in Bio.

If you find it hard to stop comparing, this accoun

If you find it hard to stop comparing, this account is literally for you.

Listen, comparison doesn’t just steal your joy — it pulls you away from the very thing God actually asked you to do.

Here’s what I do when I catch myself in the spiral:

1. I remember what matters to me. Not what’s working for someone else, but what God has put in my heart for my people.

2. I limit the voices keeping me distracted. This might mean muting accounts, stepping away from the feed, or just getting quiet. It doesn’t have to be forever, just long enough to hear myself think again.

3. I return to what God has actually asked of me. This is the one that breaks the comparison cycle every time. Because when I’m clear on my assignment, everything else stops feeling like a threat.

Friend, you don’t need her strategy. You need clarity on yours.

And if your thoughts are still spinning after that? I made something for exactly this moment. It’s a quick guided journal to help you interrupt the spiral and get back to what God is actually saying to you.

What if the most spiritual thing you could do toda

What if the most spiritual thing you could do today… wasn’t open your Bible?

I’m a Christian Spiritual Director, and that question used to unsettle me too.

But, we’ve been taught to separate our spiritual lives from our practical ones…like they exist in different boxes. The quiet time box. The work box. The “I’m-running-on-fumes” box.

Listen, the Bible is Spirit breathed and so important for understanding the character of God. AND it can lead us to striving or checking a box for quiet time instead of actually encountering the One who loves us most.

But what if God isn’t confined to the quiet time box?

I recently sat down with @hey.jo.here on the Simple Discipleship podcast and shared something I don’t talk about enough.

I was a children’s ministry director, working full time, raising a newborn and a five-year-old, pouring out everything I had for everyone else.

One morning, exhausted and in tears over my Bible, I prayed: “God, I’m so tired.”

And what I heard back? Sleep, my child.

I put my Bible down. Took a 45-minute nap. And woke up feeling closer to God and more loved than I had in weeks.

Sometimes the practical thing is the spiritual thing. And sometimes we just need permission to receive it.

That conversation is also where Jo and I pulled back the curtain on Make Room, why we created it together, and who it’s really for.

The practice that helps me stay close to God that

The practice that helps me stay close to God that I will come back to again and again as a Christian spiritual director…

It’s not a complicated Bible reading plan. It’s not waking up an hour earlier than I already do.

It’s noticing.

Noticing the way the light comes through the window in the morning. The way a conversation with a stranger leaves me feeling unexpectedly full. The small, quiet moments I used to rush past, which I now recognize as God saying, “I’m here.” I’ve always been here.

He’s woven Himself into the ordinary moments of your life. The trick is learning to slow down enough to see it.

But when we’re exhausted from overcommitting, stuck in the comparison spiral, or just aching to feel close to Him again, it’s hard to see. And that’s what happens when life gets loud.

I’m Austi, a Christian Spiritual Director, and I help women get quiet enough to deepen your relationship with God, especially when you’re exhausted from overcommitting, stuck in comparison, or just longing to feel close to Him.

If that’s where you are today, you’re in the right place.

💬 Drop QUIET in the comments and I’ll send you something to help you start.

Here’s what I learned the hard way about compariso

Here’s what I learned the hard way about comparison so you don’t have to….

I work with Christian women entrepreneurs and I see this all the time. Can I tell you what comparison is actually doing to you? It’s confusing you about who you are.

Hi, I’m Austi. I’m a Christian Spiritual Director and I guide women from anxiety and overworking to living and working boldly from God’s love.

We’ve all heard comparison is the thief of joy, but when you’re confused on who you are (and Whoes you are) everything in your life gets shaky.

Your decisions. Your yes’s. Your sense of calling. All of it starts to feel foggy because you’re measuring yourself against someone else’s story instead of living boldly in your own.

When you know, REALLY KNOW, that you are chosen, beloved, and secure in Christ, simply by existing, in the middle of your circumstances, regardless of your results or productivity, or trying harder…

When you know who you are comparison starts to lose it’s grip on your soul.

Then you can start to cheer others on and Your identity doesn’t shift when someone else’s business takes off. Your identity doesn’t shrink when a part of your business doesn’t go the way you planned. Your identity is held in the steady, unchanging character of God. You know who you are and whose you are.

And that’s the foundation everything else gets built on.

So let me ask you, are you leading your business from your belovedness? Or are you still letting comparison tell you who you are?

This is the exact work we do in the Beloved Women Entrepreneur Collective. If you’re interested in knowing more, send me a DM, and I’d love to chat.

Christian women entrepreneurs, can I be honest wit

Christian women entrepreneurs, can I be honest with you for a second?

That grip you have on everything? It’s not strength. It’s fear.

Control feels responsible and protective. But underneath it, our soul is quietly saying “I don’t feel safe.” And when we’re operating from that place, we manage outcomes on our own, we redo our team’s work, we carry everything ourselves, and we slowly start working without God.

That’s not the peace-formed life you were called to.

Loosening the grip of control doesn’t mean you stop leading. It means you stop leading alone.

Comment Spiritual Direction and I’ll send you the details. This is a space to slow down, get honest with God, and start putting down what was never yours to carry.
